EMPATHY & DESIGN THINKING

Problem-solving and innovation

Empathy and design thinking play a crucial role in problem-solving, particularly in product development and service design. I firmly believe that every individual is valuable, and therefore, I approach others with openness and without prejudice. I believe that empathy helps us better understand the needs of users and enables us to create solutions that address these needs.

I am always excited about developing new ideas to meet the needs of our customers. I am particularly interested in design thinking because it offers a creative approach to problem-solving and helps us find innovative solutions. I strive to continually provide our customers with value-added solutions, and my decision-making is strongly guided by customer orientation.

I believe that my efficiency is based on the process and my ability to discern and prioritize the most meaningful and urgent aspects from even the largest of contexts.

SKILLS
  • Organization: I am able to grasp large-scale concepts and understand the significance of small details, managing both short and long-term scheduling challenges.

Clear processes, project plans and tools helps me organize things in order of priority.

  • Creativity: Creativity is more to me than just visual skills. It’s about understanding and solving problems in a way that meets the needs of the customer.

  • Learning ability: I am curious and eager to learn new things.

  • Facilitation: With years of experience in leading and facilitating various projects, I have honed my ability to guide teams through complex challenges. My facilitation style emphasizes inclusivity, creativity, and clear communication, ensuring that all voices are heard and objectives are efficiently achieved.

  • Mentoring: I help entrepreneurs achieve their goals by providing guidance, advice, and coaching in various areas of business. My aim is to support them in developing their strengths, overcoming challenges, and achieving success in their own ventures.

  • Concentration capability: When I keep the project’s goal in mind, I find meaning in my work, which helps me concentrate on individual tasks even in the midst of chaos.

  • Design thinking and process: The project process is crucial, but the solution in user-centered design cannot be predefined. Creative problem-solving for complex issues involves empathizing with users, defining problems, brainstorming solutions, prototyping ideas, and iteratively testing them. Thus, design work often follows an iterative approach.

HOBBY & THOUGHTS ON BUSINESS

The parallel worlds of sailing and business

Sailing and business may initially seem very different, but they share a lot in common. Success in both requires a clear goal, environmental observation, anticipation of others’ actions, and decision-making ability. Sailing also fosters teamwork, communication, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills, all of which are crucial in business.

Collaboration among the crew is essential in sailing, as is combining various skills in business. Effective communication and trust are paramount in both contexts, helping to avoid errors and promote better strategy and cooperation. Sailing also demands creativity and adaptability, skills that are transferable to the business world.

Therefore, sailing and teamwork share many of the same principles and skills, which can reinforce and support each other, both on the water and in the workplace.
